Hi Vincent Muambi, Thank you very much for your interest in my paintings. You made me good questions: What drove me to paint figurative, and what is the thing that I appreciate the most in it? This made me think a lot...
Why I paint figurative? At first of all, I've started figurative drawing and painting like a way to understand reality, the rules of nature, anathomy, shades and light.... because I thought that understanding the reality and nature of things, then I could broke the rules and arrive to my own conclusions and my own way of painting.
Writting this answer, it make me thinks that all this years this was maybe an excuse to study myself, my interior, my life.... I dont know why I really preffer (by now) the figurative painting. The thing I like the most in it, is to observe, to learn from each detail of real things...it teaches me a lot about myself !
Thank you and excuse me to make you wait for an answer!.. A. Baiz
